In the beginning - there was a whole lot of nothing! Until a balloon full of glitter exploded in all directions, putting the ‘big’ in ‘big bang’. It was really hot. There wasn’t much to speak of except for a few molecules traveling at the speed of light, but then the Cosmic Oven got cooking! The recipe called for a lil’ bit of gravity, some plasma and a few dust bunnies. The cook time was about a few hundred million years, but eventually - out came our solar system. Little did anyone know … this chronicle had just begun… ‘Vortex Chooseroo’ is a music video created by Max Geimer and Reed Fox. They have been working on déCollage-related visuals for eleven years. Over time, their collaborations have spanned from live painting to theatrical dance interpretations of aliens and mummies at Red Rocks Amphitheater and serving oysters at Meow Wolf. This project was born out of creating a visual narrative to accompany déCollage's live performances. ‘Vortex Chooseroo’ is a handmade 'studio' version of that story. This music video is a delightful collection of slimy synths, gooey guitars, and viscous vocals - rendered in paint, mylar, glitter, cotton clouds, & dinosaur puppets - a pure aphrodisiac for the eye-shells. This music video tells the history of the Earth starting with the Big Bang!
